What it costs

$79 a month, before tax. One plan, charged as a subscription rather than bought once. The job feed is part of it — there is no separate account with a job-data provider to register or pay for — and each subscription fetches up to 700 postings a day, a fair-use limit that exists to stop abuse rather than to ration an ordinary search. Value added tax or sales tax is added on top where it applies, so the total at checkout depends on where you are.

Subscriptions are bought inside the application, through the store it was installed from. The Microsoft Store handles billing, invoicing and the collection of any applicable tax for the Windows edition. If Apple approves the Mac edition, Apple will handle billing for that edition in the same way. Every new subscription is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee.

One further cost is not paid to this business at all. Assessment and drafting run on an Anthropic account belonging to the reader, entered during setup, and Anthropic bills its holder directly: usually a pound or two a month, depending on how much is searched. It is stated here rather than discovered later, because it changes who this is worth buying — and because it is the mechanism by which career data reaches nobody else’s machine.

Subscriptions are not open yet. The Windows application is on the Microsoft Store and installs free, and it needs a subscription to run. A Mac App Store edition has been submitted to Apple.
